Her tombstone states her birth as October 16, 1831. Jane died June 29, 1876 at Trout River, District of St. Barbe, Newfoundland, at age 34. She married «b»Luke«/b» «b»CROCKER«/b» 1861 at an unknown location. Luke was born December 5, 1836 at Trout River, District of St. Barbe, Newfoundland. Luke was the son of George CROCKER and Catherine Matthes BRAKE. Luke died March 23, 1880 at Trout River, District of St. Barbe, Newfoundland, at age 43. A note placed inside the Journal of Baptisms, Marriages and Burials for 1871 - 1894 reads: Elzina CROCKER - born Sept. 1862. Father's name Luke CROCKER, mother's name Jane PAYNE or DECKER. She was baptized August 7, 1849 at Cow Head, District of St. Barbe, Newfoundland. When Jane was age 20 and Luke CROCKER was age 25 they became the parents of Elizina CROCKER September 1862 at Trout River, District of St. Barbe, Newfoundland.
