Robert died April 5, 1889 at St. Paul's, District of St. Barbe, Newfoundland, at age 70. His body was interred after April 5, 1889 at Cow Head, District of St. Barbe, Newfoundland. Some people have Robin in is name, but does not belong, it probably a mistake in transcribing the material for Hutchings and Buehler's book «i»Early Settlers on the Southwestern Shore of Newfoundland's Northern Peninsula«/i» came from marriage # 2 in the first marriage register at The Curch of Epiphany at Woody Point, Newfoundland, dated August 9, 1879 between Charles BENOIT and Cecilia PAYNE wher is name is not clearly spelt out where the father is listed.
