She married Winton Hugh BARKHOUSE October 25, 1893 at Woody Point, Bonne Bay, Disrtict of St. Barbe, Newfoundland. Entry No. 144 - Marriage solemnized in the Church of the Epiphany, Bonne Bay in the Diocese of Newfoundland, October 25, 1893, Winton Hugh BARKHOUSE, age 26, bachelor and tinsmith of Cow Head, son of Jacob BARKHOUSE, cooper and Amelia Jane PAYNE, age 33, spinster of Cow Head, daughter of John PAYNE, fisherman. Married in the aforesaid Church according to the Rites and Ceremonies of the Church of England, By me Charles W. HOLLANDS (Priest). This marriage was solemnized between us: Winton Hugh BARKHOUSE & Amelia Jane PAYN. In the presence of us: Matthew ROBERTS, her mark of X Susannah YOUNG.

      Winton was born 1866 at Nova Scotia, Canada. Winton was the son of Jacob BARKHOUSE and Elizabeth UNKNOWN. Winton died at an unknown location, at age unknown.

      She was a witness at Jesse HUMBER and Marcella PAYNE's wedding February 20, 1879 at Cow Head, District of St. Barbe, Newfoundland. Entry No. 97 - These are to certify that Jesse HUMBER, bachelor, of Bonne Bay, N.W. Coast of Newfoundland and Marcella PAYNE, spinster, of Cow Head, Newfoundland were married according to the rite of the Church of England, on this twentieth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy nine. (The said Jesse HUMBER and Marcella PAYNE having been previously married by a layman in the absence of the clergyman on the 12th August 1878). By me Joseph J CURLING, Missionary Priest. The above marriage was solemnized between us; Jesse HUMBER and her mark X Marcella PAYNE. In the presence of us; C Leonard PAYNE, his mark X Leonard PAYNE, her mark X Emily Jane PAYNE.

Marriage solemnized in the School Chapel at Cow Head, Bonne Bay, in the Mission of Bay of Islands in the Diocese of Newfoundland, January 3, 1888, James PAYNE, age 21, bachelor and fisherman of Cow Harbour, son of John PAYNE, fisherman and Elizabeth HEWLIN, age 21 spinster of Lower Cove, daughter of Joseph HEWLIN, fisherman. Married in the Birchy Head School Chapel according to the Rites and Ceremonies of the Church of England, By me Charles William HOLLANDS. This marriage was solemnized between us: James PAYNE & the mark of X Elizabeth HEWLIN. In the presence of us: John PAYNE Jr, her mark X Amelia PAYNE.
