  It is my belief (not proven) that he married Mary Ann Brake, dtr of John Matthews Brake and Elizabeth Banchard. According to Leslie Loder, to date there is no proof that Mary Ann's last name was Brake. Source Judy Williams: Judy has been told by her her family in NFLD the Mary Ann's maiden name is Brake. Her Father is Apparently Joseph Brake b. 1812 and her brother hte infamous Ben Brake. However she cannot find anythig as yet giving Mary Ann's maiden name as Brake, she is always listed as Loader.
